She faced discrimination and bullying because she comes from a mixed background. She’s part Indian, African, and Chinese, and some people treated her badly because of it.

She attended the Sainte Croix Government School, where she excelled academically and participated in various extracurricular activities. She also developed a passion for music and theatre, attending a weekend performing arts school alongside her weekday school studies. From Sainte Croix to Oxford

She graduated with distinction, and became a Senior Education Consultant and a Studies Facilitator, assisting students at Oxford to better navigate their studies.

Studying abroad

Liza Gundowry’s academic achievements and potential did not go unnoticed. She was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious University College London (UCL) in the United Kingdom, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution. She also spent a year abroad at El Colegio de México, a renowned academic institution in Mexico City, where she learned Spanish and immersed herself in the Latin American culture.

Liza Gundowry’s thirst for knowledge and excellence did not stop there. She applied and was accepted to the University of Oxford, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. She completed a Master’s degree in Comparative and International Education, focusing on the role of education in promoting peace and social justice. She also worked as a Studies Facilitator, assisting students at the university to better navigate their studies and achieve their academic goals.

A Passion for Music and Theatre

Liza Gundowry has always been passionate about music and theatre, since she attended a weekend performing arts school alongside her weekday school studies.
