From Sainte Croix to Oxford

Liza Gundowry was born and raised in Sainte Croix, an underprivileged area of Mauritius. She faced many socioeconomic challenges growing up, but she never gave up on her dreams. She excelled in her studies, and earned a scholarship to study at University College London, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution.

She also spent a year at El Colegio de México, where she learned Spanish and immersed herself in the Mexican culture. She then pursued a Master’s degree at the University of Oxford, where she focused on researching women’s empowerment in Mauritius. She graduated with distinction, and became a Senior Education Consultant and a Studies Facilitator, assisting students at Oxford to better navigate their studies.

Studying abroad

Liza Gundowry’s academic achievements and potential did not go unnoticed. She was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious University College London (UCL) in the United Kingdom, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution. She also spent a year abroad at El Colegio de México, a renowned academic institution in Mexico City, where she learned Spanish and immersed herself in the Latin American culture.

Liza Gundowry’s thirst for knowledge and excellence did not stop there. She applied and was accepted to the University of Oxford, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. She completed a Master’s degree in Comparative and International Education, focusing on the role of education in promoting peace and social justice.
