This project aims to teach basic first aid, water safety, and marine ecology to indigenous communities, youth centres, and schools. Kristen believes that these skills are essential for saving lives and protecting the environment. She has partnered with various organisations, such as St John Ambulance, Surf Life Saving Australia, and Reef Check Australia, to deliver her project. She wants to be a role model and a leader for young women, encouraging them to pursue their passions and potentials. She wants to be happy and fulfilled, and to make a positive impact on the world.

Beauty with a Purpose project

Kristen Wright has launched her own Beauty with a Purpose project, called Educate Resuscitate, which aims to spread awareness and teach skills on how to prevent and respond to water-related emergencies. Kristen travels to indigenous communities, youth centres, and schools across Australia, and delivers workshops on basic first aid, CPR, water safety, and marine ecology. She also provides free first aid kits and educational materials to the participants.

Kristen Wright’s project was inspired by her own personal experience of saving a life. When she was 18, she witnessed a man collapse on the street and performed CPR on him until the paramedics arrived. She later found out that the man had survived thanks to her quick action. Since then, she has been determined to share her knowledge and empower others to save lives.

Kristen Wright believes that water safety and first aid education are especially important for Australia, which has one of the highest rates of drowning deaths in the world. According to the Royal Life Saving Society, 248 people drowned in Australian waterways in the 2022/2023 financial year, an increase of 20% from the previous year. Kristen hopes that by teaching people how to prevent and respond to water-related incidents, she can help reduce this number and save lives.

Kristen also has a strong passion for marine ecology and conservation. As a certified scuba diving instructor with over 36 certifications, she has explored some of the most amazing underwater sites in the world, such as the SS President Coolidge in Vanuatu. She is also an ambassador for Project AWARE, a global movement of divers who are dedicated to protecting the ocean. Kristen educates people about the importance of marine biodiversity and the threats facing the ocean, such as pollution, overfishing, and climate change. She also encourages people to take action and join her in beach clean-ups, coral reef restoration, and marine wildlife protection.

Kristen Wright is a role model for young women who aspire to make a positive impact on the world. She has shown that beauty is not just skin deep, but also comes from within. She has used her platform as Miss World Australia to raise funds and awareness for Variety International, the children’s charity, and to launch her own project that combines her passions and skills. She has also proven that she is a woman of substance, intelligence, and courage, by pursuing a career in paediatric speech pathology, competing as a national gymnast, and saving a life with CPR.
