Meet Alethea Ambrosio (Miss Supranational Philippines 2024), the Filipina Beauty Queen Who Shines with a Purpose

Introduction

Alethea Ambrosio is a beauty queen, an advocate, and an economics student. She is the reigning Miss Philippines 2023 and the newly appointed Miss Supranational Philippines 2024. But before she became a national and international titleholder, she had a humble and inspiring upbringing in Bulacan.

Growing up in Bulacan

Alethea Ambrosio was born and raised in Bulacan, a province rich in culture and history. She grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature and the heritage of her ancestors. Alethea attended the St. Mary’s College of Meycauayan, where she excelled academically and extracurricularly. She was a consistent honor student, a student leader, and a varsity player. She also joined various contests and competitions, such as spelling bees, math Olympiads, and science fairs. She graduated as the class valedictorian and received numerous awards and recognitions.

Pursuing Economics at De La Salle University

After high school, Alethea Ambrosio moved to Manila to pursue her college education at De La Salle University. She chose to major in Economics, as she wanted to learn more about the dynamics of the Philippine economy and how to improve it. She also wanted to apply her analytical and problem-solving skills to real-world issues.

Alethea continued to shine in her studies, maintaining a high grade point average and earning scholarships. She also became active in various organizations and activities, such as the Economics Organization, the La Salle Debate Society, and the Lasallian Ambassador Program. She also participated in academic conferences, seminars, and workshops, where she gained valuable insights and experiences.

Entering the World of Pageantry

Alethea Ambrosio’s passion for pageantry began when she was a teenager. She admired the beauty, grace, and intelligence of the Filipina queens who represented the country in the international stage. She dreamed of following their footsteps and becoming a role model for other young women.

Alethea started joining local pageants in Bulacan, where she showcased her talent, charm, and advocacy. She won several titles, such as Reyna ng Singkaban-Turismo 2023, Miss Meycauayan 2022, and Miss Bulacan 2021. She also trained under the Aces and Queens, one of the most prestigious beauty camps in the country.

Alethea’s biggest break came when she joined The Miss Philippines 2023, the newest national pageant in the country. She competed against 20 other aspirants from different regions and backgrounds. She impressed the judges and the audience with her stunning looks, captivating personality, and eloquent speech. She was crowned as the winner on October 24, 2023, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. She received the crown from Pauline Amelinckx, the first Miss Philippines and the first runner-up in Miss Supranational 2023.

As the Miss Philippines 2023, Alethea became the official representative of the country in various events and causes. She promoted the tourism, culture, and development of the Philippines, both locally and internationally. She also advocated for the empowerment of the Filipino diaspora, the communities of 12 million Filipinos living in different parts of the world.

On February 18, 2024, Alethea was officially crowned as Miss Supranational Philippines 2024, during the press presentation of Miss Universe Philippines 2024. She will represent the country in the 15th edition of Miss Supranational, to be held later this year in Poland. She hopes to bring home the second crown for the Philippines, following the footsteps of Mutya Datul, who won in 2013.
